About Donato Cabrera, Assistant Conductor, San Francisco Symphony and Wattis Foundation Music Director of the Youth Orchestra
Donato Cabrera joined the San Francisco Symphony in 2009 as Assistant Conductor and Wattis Foundation Music Director of the Youth Orchestra. This season, Mr. Cabrera leads the Orchestra in performances accompanying Charlie Chaplin's film The Gold Rush; during the summer, he will conduct concerts for the Summer & the Symphony series. Mr. Cabrera also conducts the Orchestra in Concerts for Kids, Adventures in Music, and Music for Families concerts, in addition to leading SFS Youth Orchestra rehearsals and concerts. From 2005 to 2008, Mr. Cabrera was associate conductor of the San Francisco Opera. He has also been an assistant and cover conductor for projects at the Metropolitan Opera, Lyric Opera of Chicago, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, and the San Francisco Ballet. Donato Cabrera has long been dedicated to music education and community outreach. For four seasons, he programmed and conducted Young People’s Concerts for the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra. In addition, he has conducted the Preparatory Orchestra of the Juilliard School, as well as the youth orchestras of Newark, Cincinnati, Norwalk, and Ridgefield. He holds a bachelor’s degree in music from the University of Nevada, Reno; a master’s degree in conducting from the University of Illinois; and has pursued graduate studies in conducting at Indiana University, Bloomington, and the Manhattan School of Music.

About Mary Scott
Mary is currently the Chair of the School of Graphic Design and also teaches both graduate and undergraduate students at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. She has been named in Who's Who in America's Teachers for 2004, 2005 and 2006 and has served on the national board of AIGA . Mary studied Fine Arts and Foreign Languages at Mt. St. Mary's College in Los Angeles and Environmental Design at the University of California at Los Angeles. Before arriving in the Bay Area, Mary taught at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena and at Otis College of Art & Design in Los Angeles. During her years at Art Center, she was honored twice by receiving the "Great Teacher Award." For over 25 years, she was Vice-President and Director of Creative Operations for Maddocks & Company, a multi-disciplinary firm involved in all phases of communication design. The firm's clients range from Procter & Gamble, Disney, Warner Bros, and many more.
An experienced judge, Mary has been on the judging panels for the 2000 AIGA Enrichment Scholarship, AIGA Annual Student Portfolio Days 2000 through 2004, 2001 Minneapolis Chapter AIGA Annual Design Show, and the Clio Awards 2001, AIGA Minneapolis 2003. This past year, she was Chair of the AIGA Enrichment Scholarship Competition.

About Luis Camaño
Luis is the Chief Creative Officer for Alcone Marketing, Safeway's promotion agency. He has over 20 years of experience providing powerful creative solutions for leading brands.
Originally from Argentina, Luis began his career with BBDO Argentina and BBDO New York. He also spent 5 years with Ingalls/Boston before his first tenure with Alcone (1991-2000). He left Alcone for 4 years to work as principal in a boutique LA creative shop, and returned to Alcone in 2004 to lead the West Coast creative team.
His work has received numerous awards including Clio, New York Festivals and Art Directors Club of New York. He has also performed as a judge in various prestigious competitions including New York Festivals, Effies, and ADDYS.

About Betsy Bellotti
Betsy is currently the Director of Brand Marketing for Safeway Inc. and oversees multi-faceted, integrated branding and marketing communications programs, including consumer public relations and key marketing partnerships. She also manages the brand standards of Safeway’s portfolio of store brands, and identity standards for corporate marketing/promotions efforts. Prior to Safeway, Betsy spent five years as Director of Marketing for The Picture People, a national retail portrait studio chain. Earlier in her career, Betsy held brand management positions at a number of consumer packaged goods companies, including Procter & Gamble and Pete’s Brewing Company. She holds a BA from Stanford University and an MBA in marketing from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School. Away from work, Betsy is involved in performing arts, both as a spectator and as a performer. She is very excited to be part of this contest supporting art and music in schools.

About Brian Ng
Brian is the Director of Brand Strategy and Development for Safeway, Inc. and is responsible for brand positioning strategy, consumer marketing strategy, and the development of integrated marketing plans for Safeway’s portfolio of Consumer Brands including Lucerne, O Organics and Eating Right. Before joining Safeway, Brian held brand management roles at Dole Food Company, The Clorox Company and Kraft Foods. Brian received a BS in Business Administration from U.C. Berkeley's Haas School of Business and an MBA from the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business.
